STEM

We have a wonderful STEM program at Buckeye Elementary.  STEM stands for Science Technology Engineering Mathematics.  Mrs. Ashley Merrill teaches STEM classes to our K-2 students.  Students visit her STEM Lab 1-2 times per week.  Students learn the basics of robotics and coding.  They learn the foundations of the engineering process and the scientific method.  The purpose of this class is to prepare students for the rigorous science curriculum they will learn in 3rd grade!  Mrs. Merrill covers state Science Standards and so much more in her classroom.  This class allows our students to explore, think critically, and to be curious!  For more information on our STEM program, please contact Mrs. Merrill @ ashley.merrill@rpsb.us.
