Art Program

We have an amazing visual arts program at Buckeye Elementary.  Our art classes are taught by Mrs. Elizabeth Milliner.  Our K-2nd students take art classes 1-2 days a week. Students work with a wide variety of art mediums and learn many techniques such as: painting, ceramics, fiber arts, printmaking, drawing, collage, and so much more!  Students learn about famous artists. artistic movements, and art from a variety of cultures.  Mrs. Milliner is trained in Visual Thinking Strategies.  This is a critical thinking discussion method that centers around visual art that she uses in her classroom.  At BES we believe the arts are critical in supporting classroom instruction and creating well rounded students.  For more information about our program, feel free to email Mrs. Milliner @ elizabeth.milliner@rpsb.us.
